Join the Steering Team
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated young people, between the ages of 16 & 26, to join our steering team. The team will be responsible for planning and designing TEDxYouth@BrayfordPool events – inclusive of the development of event themes, and choosing which speakers get a spot on the stage.
The steering group will meet throughout the year to choose the theme for this years event, select speakers and develop how the event engages a younger audience. Individuals applying for the role must be between the ages of 16 & 26 years old, with a passion for exploring “ideas worth spreading” and advocating the voices of young people in society. They should be committed be passionate surrounding the development of ideas, ensuring equal access to a platform encouraged to open discussion & create debate designed to shape the world we live in.

Free access to TEDxYouth@BrayfordPool and opportunities to get involved with other TEDxBrayfordPool events.
Not only will you get to peek behind the curtains, you’ll be part of the team making things happen.
Opportunity to connect with like-minded souls at our socials and through our online community, where we share news, unique opportunities and ideas.

What we're looking for:
We’re looking for enthusiastic, committed and hard-working individuals between 16 and 26 who live their values and want to be part of a team giving young people a platform to share their bold ideas.
What's the time commitment?
You’ll need to be available for at least two planning meetings during the year (either in person or virtually), xDEMOYouth event, TEDxYouth@BrayfordPool and (at least) the evening before on the following dates:
Sunday 12th May
Friday 8th November
Possible other dates throughout the year tbc
In the lead up to the event there will be mandatory training and we ask that you make time for this, which will be held in the evening.
